SCAMP, a major Dumfries & Galloway coastal restoration project, brings the team to Stranraer for Landscape Connections. Drop in to hear their plans for restoring our coastline and discover how you can get involved.
SCAMP (the Solway Coast and Marine Project) is a major restoration initiative led by Dumfries and Galloway Council, working with the Solway Firth Partnership to bring back the coastal habitats that have declined along our shoreline over the years. The team's project activity stretches from the Solway Firth round the Rhins of Galloway and into Loch Ryan itself.
Landscape Connections is one strand of this work, a heritage lottery-funded project focused on restoring the wider coastal environment of Dumfries & Galloway. Drop in to meet the team and discuss the exciting ideas and projects they have planned for the future, from habitat restoration trials to community involvement opportunities along the coast.
A great chance to find out what's happening beneath the waves and along the shoreline right on your doorstep, and how you can get involved.
